When the hospital was built in 1935 the southside of the building was the doctor’s primary residence and office. What is now the hotel’s suite was then a formal dining room and sitting area; the wall behind the bed now had a door to a small kitchen. Our library was the bedroom and reception/office. The floor was covered with a hand painted lino. It's lovely to step back in time and see parties, kids playing and Christmas trees in this room.
