On the islands we are fortunate to enjoy a Christmas close to nature; quiet with the stone cliffs, muted greenery and frost. Deeply peaceful without light pollution, the stars are close and the darkness an even thicker canvas. Like magic, the brackish sea freezes over and on the coldest days one can skate from island to island. A Finnish Jul is celebrated with the simplicity and beauty of greenery, fire and hyacinths. We bake and make, our kitchens rich with forest lingonberries, spiced wine, local rye, and smoked fish. Come enjoy a stay at the hotel during Christmas, enjoy a mysig night of quiet and glogg or join us for creating Christmas crafts and dinner and a candlelit morning at the 15th century church.
